India’s women’s cricket team has made history by winning the ICC Women’s U19 T20 World Cup 2025, defeating South Africa in the final on Sunday. This is India’s second time winning the tournament in a row. They didn’t lose a single match throughout the competition.

India played amazingly well further restricting South Africa to just 82 runs. Then, they easily scored the runs they needed to win. Gongadi Trisha was the star of the show, taking three crucial wickets and scoring an unbeaten 44 runs to steer India to victory.


The final match against South Africa was a thrilling encounter with India delivering a dominant performance to secure a nine-wicket victory.

The team remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, winning all their group-stage matches and continuing their momentum in the Super Six stage. Their commanding performance against England in the semi-final set the stage for their historic win in the final.


South Africa, on the other hand, had a strong campaign, dominating Group C and carrying four crucial points into the Super Six stage. However, they were unable to withstand India’s onslaught in the final.
