Paris 2024 star Manu Bhaker returned to New Delhi on Wednesday, accompanied by her coach Jaspal Rana, amid a rousing reception. The Arjuna-Krishna duo were welcomed with garlands and Indian tri-color by the fans who came to receive them at the airport early on Wednesday morning.
Bhaker’s parents — Ramkishan and Sumedha — along with Rana’s father Narayan Singh were present at the airport for their welcome. Sports enthusiasts and officials from Haryana, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand were also present at the venue.
After she arrived at the national capital, Bhaker met John Abraham, with the Bollywood actor sharing their picture on Instagram.
“Had the pleasure of meeting @bhakermanu and her lovely family. She has made India proud!!! 🇮🇳 Respect,” Abraham captioned the picture.

In the picture, Abraham was captured holding one of the medals that Bhaker clinched at the Paris 2024. It did not go well amongst the fans as they schooled the Bollywood actor for holding the prestigious prize.
“Sorry but u have no rights to touch the medal won by someone else,” a fan commented on Abraham’s picture.
“Why is he holding medal,” another fan questioned.
“No one should be allowed to touch the medal… Earning the medal and posing with it are two very different things!!,” a third fan said.
Bhaker became the first Indian to clinch two medals at an Olympics in the post-independence era. She clinched the bronze medal in the Women’s 10m Air Pistol and the third spot on the podium in the Mixed 10m Air Pistol event along with Sarabjot Singh.
