Argentinian fans were on their feet in the 43rd minute when Julian Alvarez threaded a brilliant pass through Messi, who passed it to Martinez to finish.
A classic Messi goal came in in the 84th minute of the match. And two minutes later, yet another goal was born from his leg’s thrusting its way beyond the reach of the goalkeeper Guillermo Viscarra.
With the match against Bolivia, Argentina now stands at the top of the 10-team table with 22 points from ten games. The top six teams will proceed to the FIFA World Cup finals while the seventh team will have to go through the playoffs.
Meanwhile, Messi is just 21 goals behind Ronaldo’s mark of 133 international goals for Portugal, the highest total for any player representing a national team in the history of soccer. Another record will also be at stake for Messi when Inter Miami faces the New England Revolution in their last MLS regular season match.

On the other hand, Argentinian arch-rival Brazil had eased the pressure on themselves with a thrilling win of 4-0 against Peru. Argentina will continue their qualifying campaign on November 14 when they face Paraguay on the road.
