The 37th National Games will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 26 at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru stadium in Fatorda, South Goa.

Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur, Goa Sports Minister Govind Gauda and Minister of State for Tourism Shripad Naik will also be present in the event.
The National Games is going to be held in Goa for the very first time. The game is schedules to be concluded on 9th November. More than ten thousand athletes across the country will compete in over 43 sports discipline across 28 venues.
The event is schedules to be held in five Goan cities of Mapusa, Margao, Panjim, Ponda and Vasco across 28 venues. Golf and cycling events will be conducted in New Delhi.
The 37th National Games of India’s motto is “Get Set Goa” and this motto is similar to the one which was used in the first National Games in 1924, “Get Set Play”. The event will feature several sports disciplines including beach football, roll ball, golf, sepak takraw, sqay martial arts, kalliya rapattu and pencak silat. Various sports like Kho, yogasana and mallakhamb will mark their debut in the National Games.
Taekwondo and yachting games will be brought back this year which was excluded in the previous edition.
