The #Sorry_Pkaistan is trending everywhere after the Indian fans targeted Pakistan players with Jai Shri Ram chants in the Saturday World Cup match. Several have come forward and expressed apology for the “indecent approach” towards the Pak team done by the gallery.
In a short time, the entire mood and ambiance of the game changed to an unjustifiable manner as the crowd – fans of Indian team – started chanting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ when the Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan dismissed from field by Jasprit Bumrah. The incident happened during the India-Pakistan ICC Men”s Cricket World Cup match of 2023 at Narendra Modi Stadium in Gujarat.
Rizwan was Pakistan’s second highest run-scorer in the stunning Saturday match, but his wicket led the team to nonrecoverable state and was eventually bowled out for 191. The Indian chase was brilliant in which the Men in Blue wrapped the game in less than 31 overs.

Many in the meantime shared videos of Indian players being trolled by the Pakistan fan audience in 2017 to justify the Ahmedabad crowd as a tit-for-tat from the Indian admirers. A second opinion also surfaced as explaining the act as part of the propagation of hateful Hindutva politics, ruining the real spirit of the sport.

The reaction of the crowd came after several videos of Rizwan doing namaz on the field during Pakistan’s previous matches in the current World cup series propagated. Rizwan went back to his seat after securing 49 runs against India.
India won the match with 19.3 overs to spare, leading the team to the top one position in the point table with six points in total. They have won all the three matches in the series and Bumrah emerged as the player of the match. The Saturday win was a crucial power-packed attack by thrashing the Pakistan middle order which has been a strong point for them in the recent matches.
