The Thomas and Uber Cup 2024 will get underway in Chengdu, the People’s Republic of China on Saturday. The Indian contingent will feature 18 members for the Thomas and Uber Cup Finals, slated to run from April 27 to May 5.
The World No.3 pair of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy will lead India’s quest for a podium spot in the doubles category of the Thomas Cup while HS Prannoy, Lakshya Sen, and Kidambi Srikanth will feature in the men’s singles category.
The India men’s team will be defending their title in this edition. They have been drawn in Group C along with Indonesia, Thailand, and England. India defeated Indonesia 3-0 in the Thomas Cup 2022 final to clinch their maiden title. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the quarter-finals.
