Travis Head”s sensational century helped Australia achieve their sixth ODI World Cup title on November 19. This is not the first time Team India is witnessing a sensational performance from Travis Head, as he smashed a 166 against India in the first innings of the World Test Championship final held in June. However, Travis Head and his family are currently facing online abuse. A section of Indian fans came to the comment section of Travis Head”s Instagram posts and abused him severely.

In the comments area of Travis Head”s Instagram posts, some netizens are also abusing the Australian batter”s wife as well as his one-year-old daughter. At the same time, the majority of netizens expressed displeasure with this online abuse against Travis Head and his family. Several social media users also asked others to stop such abuses and pointed out that these are inappropriate ways to let out the anger. “Congratulations on the win. Please report the vulgar comments and trust me these people are not representation of India or Indians. Most likely they are fake account’s. Enjoy the win, very well deserved,” a user commented.

Meanwhile, New Zealand all-rounder Jimmy Neesham is also facing online abuse after India”s World Cup final loss against the Aussies. Jimmy Neesham also shared screenshots of the abusive messages he received on his Instagram’s DMs. In one of the Instagram stories, the New Zealand all-rounder humorously said, “Didn’t watch the game last night but, uhh, I guess Aus won.” Neesham, who was also part of New Zealand”s World Cup squad, then asked, “What have I missed?”
