Champions League holders Real Madrid’s next Galactico, the French World Cup winner Kylian Mbappe, was unveiled in a public ceremony attended by approximately 80,000 spectators at the iconic Santiago Bernabeu.
Mbappe was presented by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez with ‘huge satisfaction’ after the remaining work at the iconic stadium was completed in time.
“It’s a huge satisfaction for us to be here today and to present a new Real Madrid player. Due to the re-modelling of the stadium, some of the previous presentations could not take place here,” Perez said.
“But today we can do it here and it’s a very exciting occasion for us.
Following the speech from the Real Madrid president, Mbappe walked out on the pitch wearing the iconic No.9 jersey, which was earlier donned by Portuguese and Brazilian Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Emilio Butragueno, and Alfredo Di Stefano.
The Frenchman walked up onto the Real Madrid stage and shared a hug with the president and former coach Zinedine Zidane.
