Football is a beautiful game that sometimes turns ugly due to setbacks, injuries, or ugly spats between rival fans.
The sport has also registered bizarre and hilarious incidents occasionally. A testament to that was when Peruvian footballer Santiago Munoz received a red card for a bizarre incident.
In a fixture between Atletico Awajun and Cantorcillo FC in the Copa Peru on Sunday, Munoz went towards the corner flag in the 71st minute to take a corner. But the moment was delayed on the pitch due to Cantorcillo goalkeeper Lucho Ruiz’s injury and Munoz hilariously tried to make the most of it by walking down the pitch side to urinate.
The opposition players soon saw Munoz’s act and ushered the referee who moved towards the player, waving a red card at him.

It was a no surprise as Munoz walked off the pitch after a short discussion with the referee. Incidentally, this is not the first time that a player has been send off the field for urinating on the pitch as former Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehmann had jumped over the advertising board to relieve himself while English goalkeeper Lineker defaced in a World Cup match in 1990.
However, Lehmann and Lineker were send off for their respective incidents.
