Who Is Rima Bouri, Lalit Modi's New Girlfriend?
Lalit Modi, the founder and former chairman of the Indian Premier League (IPL), has announced that he has found love again, and that news went viral instantaneously. He choose the Valentine’s Day 2025 to make the announcement. Modi introduced his new girlfriend, Rima Bouri, in an Instagram post, revealing that their 25-year friendship has now blossomed into love.
“Lucky Once – Yes. But I got lucky TWICE. When a 25-year friendship turns to LOVE. It happened twice. Hope it does for you all too. #happyvalentinesday to you all,” Modi captioned a video montage featuring pictures of himself and Bouri.
Rima Bouri, an independent consultant based in Lebanon, has a background in marketing. According to her LinkedIn profile, she completed her A-levels at Brillantmont International School in Lausanne, Switzerland, before earning a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Richmond, The American International University in London. Her early education was at Saint Teresa Convent in Surrey, UK. She is fluent in English, French, and Portuguese, with elementary proficiency in Arabic.

Bouri, who has a private Instagram account with over 720 followers, responded to Modi’s post by commenting, “Love you more,” to which he replied, “My forever love.”
The announcement has sparked curiosity, especially given Modi’s high-profile past relationships. He was previously married to Minal Sagrani, whom he wed in 1991. The couple remained together until her passing in 2018 due to cancer. They had two children together, Aaaliya and Richir Modi, while Modi was also a stepfather to Karima Sagrani, Minal’s daughter from a previous marriage.
In 2022, Modi made headlines after revealing his relationship with Bollywood actress and former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen. At the time, he shared pictures from their vacation and referred to Sen as his “better half,” leading to widespread speculation about a possible marriage. He later clarified that they were only dating. Sen, too, dismissed marriage rumours, calling it “just another phase” of her life.
Modi has been living in London since 2010 after leaving India amid investigations into tax evasion and money laundering. In 2013, he was banned for life by the Indian cricket board for financial irregularities.
