'Yeh America Se Bhi Haar Gaye': WATCH Babar Azam Humiliated In Pakistan Parliament After Early T20 World Cup 2024 Exit

Following Pakistan’s Group Stage exit in the T20 World Cup 2024, their captain Babar Azam was brutally humiliated in the parliament on Saturday.

In a video that went viral on X, a Member of the Pakistan National Assembly, Abdul Qadir Patel, displayed his sentiments and asked the Pakistan captain to learn from his senior player and Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan. Patel concluded his long rant by saying that the national team must unite for the poor nation.

“Ye cricket team ko kya hua hai (What’s wrong with our cricket team?). They lost to America (USA), they lost to India. Babar Azam should take a lesson from one of his senior cricketers [Hinting at former cricket team captain and Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan] and throw a party after losing where he should wave some documents in public stating, ‘There’s been a conspiracy against me’,” Patel said.

“And when PCB asks him what’s written on that paper, he would say, ‘It’s no more with me. I lost it.”

“There have been several accusations on the team but I insist, Ab to ek ho jao Pakistan ke liye. Ab to ek ho jao gareeb awaam ke liye (Please get united for Pakistan),” he added.

Pakistan started the T20 World Cup 2024 campaign with a major upset against the United States in Super Over. The Azam-led side, then, lost by six runs against arch-rivals India before clinching back-to-back victories against Canada and Ireland.
