On December 28, South Korean giant Samsung announced that they are all set to unveil a new vacuum cleaner lineup with advanced AI at CES 2024, which is the world”s largest consumer technology trade show.

AI technology will ensure that vacuum cleaners clean all areas and avoid becoming stuck by identifying objects. Samsung”s latest vacuum and mop robot cleaner, named Bespoke Jet Bot Combo, offers users an easier cleaning experience with enhanced AI features. According to Samsung, the AI-applied vacuum and mop robot cleaner improves the user experience both “during and after cleaning.” The company has upgraded the AI Object Recognition in the vacuum cleaner. It uses a 3D sensor to distinguish various types of objects and applies cleaning efforts accordingly.

Notably, AI Object Recognition can also recognize space and stains. It has the ability to determine and categorize mapped areas and automatically suggest no-go zones, such as the bathroom or the entrance. Also, with the help of the AI Floor Detect feature, the vacuum and mop robot cleaner can identify the floor type. It has the power to distinguish between hard floors and carpeting. Moohyung Lee, EVP and Head of the Customer Experience Team of Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics, said that their innovative vacuum cleaner lineup leverages the latest AI technology to improve its usability.
