As India celebrated Diwali on November 12, Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, also shared Diwali greetings. Tim Cook took to his X handle to extend the Diwali wishes, along with a stunning photo clicked by an Indian iPhone 15 user. The photo shared by Apple CEO was clicked by Chandan Khanna, a photographer working with international news agency AFP.

“Happy Diwali! May your celebrations be filled with warmth, prosperity, and the joy of being together. Shot on iPhone 15 Pro Max by Chandan Khanna,” wrote Tim Cook on X on November 12. The stunning image shows devotees releasing sky lanterns to celebrate the festival of light. Tim Cook”s post has gone viral, with over 2.1 million views and counting. Several X users flooded the comments section with Diwali wishes and appreciation for the photograph. “Beautiful colors. Happy Diwali. I want an iPhone for sure now. Happy Sunday,” commented a user. “This is what world needs to see. Happiness & prosperity,” another commented.

Chandan Khanna, who is currently based in the US, also responded to Tim Cook’s post and wrote, “Wishing everyone around the world a very Happy Diwali. Thanks @tim_cook @Apple for your constant love and support.” Notably, Tim Cook has a tradition of making Diwali wishes by sharing photographs taken by Indians on iPhones. In 2022, Tim Cook shared an image clicked by an Indian photographer named Apeksha Maker to wish everyone on Diwali. On November 3, Tim Cook said that India is an “incredibly exciting” market for Apple and added that the tech giant was seeing a lot of headroom for growth in the country.
