Amid reports that Apple is preparing to bring significant changes to iOS, the tech giant has announced the date for its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). The iPhone maker is all set to host WWDC 2024 from June 10 through June 14. Some exciting announcements are likely to happen during the highly anticipated four-day event.

During WWDC 2024, Apple will unveil the all-new iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, and visionOS advancements. The company mentioned in its statement that developers and students will have the opportunity to celebrate in person at a special event at Apple Park on the opening day. The entire conference will be available online for all developers.

Apple”s competitors, including Samsung, have already included multiple AI capabilities in this year”s hardware and software. The tech world is now waiting to see how Apple is going to incorporate generative AI into its various products. There were reports earlier that Apple has been testing “Apple GPT,” which is likely to compete with OpenAI’s ChatGPT. Last year, Apple also posted multiple job opportunities to generative AI on its career page.

On March 18, Bloomberg reported that Apple is in discussions to build Google’s Gemini AI engine into the iPhone. If Apple and Google sign this blockbuster deal, future iPhones are likely to deliver a range of generative AI features.

“WWDC is all about sharing new ideas and providing our amazing developers with innovative tools and resources to help them make something even more wonderful,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, in the statement. The Cupertino-based tech company also said that WWDC 2024 will include video sessions and opportunities to engage with Apple designers and engineers and connect with the worldwide developer community. Also, the in-person experience on June 10 will provide developers with the opportunity to watch the keynote at Apple Park.
