Since Apple has wrapped up its Glowtine event in 2024, the features and specifications that CEO Tim Cook and team explained are absolutely even more impressive than expected. The company announced the latest additions to Apple’s flagship iPhone series, the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max along with Apple Watch, AirPods and more.

The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus devices boast several exciting features, including a new DSLR-like button for camera control that the rear cameras stacked atop each other for spatial video recording. The two models come with a faster A18 processor to handle new AI features which are available in 5 colours:black, white, pink, teal, and ultramarine.
iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max
The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max come with larger displays than their predecessors. The iPhone 16 Pro features a 6.3-inch screen, while the Pro Max has a 6.9-inch display which is the biggest ever in iPhone models. Both models come with a new capture button and an upgraded A18 Pro chip. The Pro Max is touted to have the “best iPhone battery life ever.”
In terms of camera capabilities, both phones now feature a 5x telephoto camera with a “tetraprism” design an upgraded 48-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 48MP “Fusion camera.” The devices are available in gold, black, white, and natural titanium (grey) finishes.
The iPhone 16 Pro is priced at $999 (approx Rs 79,900), while the Pro Max costs $1,199 (approx Rs 95,900). apple stated that the preorders will begin on the 13th of September and the devices will hit stores on September 20th. The iPhone 16 models are ready for Apple Intelligence and a new AI feature will launch in beta next month. This feature allows users to search for images in their library by simply describing them it would make it easier to find specific photos.

Apple CEO Tim Cook said that there is an exciting feature in the series bestowing the ability to create custom emojis that may give users more ways to express themselves. The Camera Control button is also getting an upgrade with a new feature called Visual Intelligence. This feature automatically searches for things you take photos of that would probably make it easy to learn more about the world around you.
Apple Watch Series 10
The latest Apple Watch Series 10 has a thinner profile and a larger wide-angle OLED display that goes up to is up to 40% brighter when viewed at an angle. It also features a built-in depth and water temperature sensor and can detect signs of sleep apnea by measuring breathing disturbances while you’re asleep.
The watch comes in a polished aluminium finish in black along with matte options for rose gold and silver, or a polished titanium finish that’s 20% lighter than the Series 9. The Watch Series 10 starts at $399 (approx Rs 31,900) and will be available on September 20th for global sale.
Apple Watch Ultra
The Apple Watch Ultra didn’t receive any major updates, but Apple introduced a sleek satin black finish and a titanium Milanese Loop band made from corrosion-resistant titanium which is exclusively designed for scuba diving.
AirPods 4
Apple unveiled the AirPods 4 which features a new H4 chip for better audio quality. The buds have an open-ear design that makes them the “most comfortable AirPods” ever. They come with voice isolation, transparency mode, and active noise cancellation (ANC).
The charging case is smaller and USB-C-compatible, with a speaker for locating the buds using the Find My app. The AirPods 4 start at $129 (approx Rs 10,400) for the standard model and $179 (approx Rs 14,300) for the ANC version. Both models will start shipping on September 20th.
AirPods Pro 2
The company announced that it will release the AirPods Pro 2 as an over-the-counter hearing aid later this year. The device will feature a clinical-grade hearing test and a feature designed to protect hearing. These features will be available in a free software update in over 100 countries and regions this fall.
AirPods Max
Apple’s over-the-ear AirPods Max will now be available in new colours that include a sleek space grey and silver finish.
