The tech giant Apple has finally unveiled the much-awaited iPhone 16 which boasts several exciting new features and improvements. The iPhone 16 comes in various slightly refreshed colours and has a similar design to its predecessor. The latest model comes with a squared-off frame and USB-C charging and will be available in 6.1-inch (iPhone 16 ) and 6.7-inch (iPhone 16 Plus) sizes. CEO Tim Cook said that with the newly launched design, the screens can reach 2,000 nits of peak brightness and go as dim as 1 nit.

Let’s look at its key features:
- Aster Processor: A new A18 chip with a 3nm process that’s 30% faster than the iPhone 15’s CPU.
- New Camera Features: A dual-camera setup with a 48-megapixel main camera and autofocusing ultra-wide camera that offers the equivalent of four lenses through a 2x crop mode and macro mode.
- Physical Camera Control Button: A new button below the power button for quick access to camera features.
- Action Button: A button that debuted on last year’s Pro models that allows for quick access to features.
- Apple Intelligence: AI software will be coming in October and will be equipped with features like custom emoji, text summarisation, visual intelligence, and a Google Lens-like search feature.
- Brighter Screens: Screens that can reach 2,000 nits of peak brightness and go as dim as 1 nit.
- Design: A similar design to the iPhone 15, with a squared-off frame, rear glass allowing for MagSafe wireless charging, and a USB-C charging/data port at its base.
The new iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are priced at $799 (Approx Rs 67,058) for 128 GB storage and $899 (approximately Rs 75,451) for 128 GB storage respectively. Both models come in 4 vivid colours and will be available starting September 20.
