Gurugram-Based Skye Air Begins Doorstep Deliveries Using Drones, AI-Powered Robots
Gurugram, Haryana: Skye Air Mobility, a Gurugram-based drone delivery company, has started doorstep deliveries using drones and artificial intelligence-powered robots, marking the launch of India’s first fully autonomous drone-to-doorstep delivery in Gurugram.
The drones would carry up to 10kg of packages to the destination points, and the US partner Autonomy’s rovers would handle the final trip to the door. India’s first end-to-end autonomous delivery system, using drone, the initiative’s founder Ankit Kumar called India the first country for this AI-linked setup, which cuts carbon emissions by 500 grams per delivery and eases urban congestion.

The announcement was made at the recently concluded AI Impact Summit. With 3.6 million drone deliveries, the launch draws praise for tech progress alongside worries about job losses and city chaos.
Kumar further highlighted the company’s progress in drone-based logistics and its new global collaborations. “So far, we’ve been making deliveries using drones. We’ve made nearly 3.6 million drone deliveries in the last 2.5 years, saving over a thousand tons of carbon,” Kumar stated.

Kumar added that the company will take the venture to every location in Gurugram.
