AI Feature On iPhone
Not All iPhones, Only 15 Pro Allows AI Features: Report

Apple is not making the features available for all iPhone users for the time being.

During WWDC 2024, Apple announced some remarkable updates which will be available on its products in future.  The highlight of the event was the new AI system, which Apple calls the Apple Intelligence. Now, while the updates are so top-notch that every iPhone user would want to have them on their iPhone, Apple is not making the features available for all iPhone users for the time being.

However, if you are using the iPhone 15 Pro you will get this feature. These models, equipped with the A17 Pro chip, are the only iPhones currently confirmed to support Apple Intelligence features. This suggests that future models, such as the expected iPhone 16 Pro, might also include these capabilities. For now, however, the advanced AI features are exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro series.

The upgrades include a new and improved Siri, new summarisation tools, a more vibrant personalised home screen, AI-powered photo editing and so on. The only thing is that you must own a 15 Pro series to utilise these features. The new AI features will rely on both on-device and cloud-based processing, depending on the complexity of the task.

Through that update, the Apple virtual assistant will be redesigned to understand the users better with more awareness of personal context and the ability to take action in and across apps. Siri will be integrated and supercharged with ChatGPT on iOS 18.

If the users don’t own a 15 Pro, they will get to experience some of iOS 18’s AI features, specifically those that function on the cloud. Nevertheless, if the users want the full iOS18 AI experience, they need to upgrade the phone to 15 Pro anytime soon.

Apple announced all those details in their recent WWDC keynote it was one of the biggest iOS upgrades in years and the updates will function this year on granted models.
