OPPO the Chinese phone brand unveiled its new model OPPO Reno 12 5G and Reno 12 Pro 5G on Friday, July 12 featuring a MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy chipset powered Adroid 14. The company announced its price and availability in India through an X post. The Reno series was introduced on its debut in China and later sprawled out to other global markets.

The company has launched the Reno 12 series infused with AI capabilities with a sleek design and unbeatable battery. 120Hz refresh rate is indeed another fascinating feature. The new Reno 12 5G and Reno 12 Pro run on a custom octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy SoC with up to 12GB of LPDDRDX RAM, and 512GB storage. Using a microSD card the RAM storage capacity can be improved up to 1TB.

The new series comes with astounding camera features like a triple rear view setup with a 50-megapixel primary Sony LYT600 sensor of optical image stabilisation for the Pro model. For 2x optical zoom, the phone offers an ultra-wide-angle camera along with a Samsung S5KJN5 telephoto sensor and selfie shooter.
The AI feature enables generating a crisp summary of every important call record to keep updated and forget nothing with the new OPPO AI recording summary as the company calls the new model an ‘Everyday AI Companion.’ The OPPO Reno 12 5G also offers an infinite view screen and a 5000mAh large battery.

As the company disclosed the price, the new OPPO Reno 12 5G is available at Rs 32,999 for 12GB RAM with 256GB storage starting its sale on 25 July, in Astro Silver, Matte Brown and Sunset Peach colour variants. The OPPO Reno 12 Pro 5G is priced at Rs 36,999 for the 12GB RAM+256GB space and Rs 40,999 for the 512GB storage in Space Brown and Sunset Gold colours. The new Reno12 Pro will be available from 18th July and can pre-book through the link embedded on the company website.
