Paytm Partners With AI Startup Perplexity To Offer In-App Search
Paytm has joined forces with AI startup, Conversational Search EnginePerplexity to bring in-app search capabilities to its users. This collaboration will enable customers to ask questions, explore topics in Indian languages, and make informed financial decisions.
Paytm founder Vijay Shekhar Sharma and Perplexity’s co-founder Aravind Srinivas discussed this partnership on X Spaces on Wednesday. Sharma stated that the shift from search to AI-driven actionable insights requires local data training and the industry is moving in that direction.

Srinivas added, “This collaboration is a step towards a future where AI enhances everyday interactions and digital experiences for all.”

The chatbot will be available as a button on the Paytm app, allowing users to access information and make financial decisions easily.

Recently, Perplexity AI secured a whopping USD 73.6 million in funding, valuing the company at USD 520 million.
