He condemned the April 22 Pahalgam attack as a deliberate attempt to incite communal violence. The Indian government asserted that the precision strikes were a justified response, intended to preempt as well as deter future cross-border terror, particularly targeting terrorist infrastructure and disabling terrorists likely to be sent across to India.
