Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Despite India’s repudiation of the mediation claim, US President Donald Trump on Tuesday reiterated and elaborated on his earlier statements on brokering ceasefire.

While delivering a speech at the Saudi-US Investment Forum in Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh, Trump said that his administration brought about a “historic ceasefire” between India and Pakistan in the recent developments following Operation Sindoor. “Just days ago, my administration successfully brokered a historic ceasefire to stop the escalating violence between India and Pakistan and I used trade to a large extent to do it. I said, fellows let us do some trade. Let us not trade nuclear missiles,” US President said in the speech.
