Mumbai, Maharashtra: Incessant rain and a thunderstorm since early Monday morning brought Mumbai to a standstill. The intensity of the Southwest Monsoon caused flooding at Acharya Atre Chowk Metro station, on Line 3 (the Aqua Line), which had been inaugurated only a fortnight ago. Consequently, metro services between Worli and Acharya Atre Chowk have been temporarily suspended to ensure commuter safety. The Acharya Atre Chowk station is part of Mumbai’s fully underground Metro Line 3 (Colaba-Bandra-SEEPZ).
