12 Killed, Over 300 Injured In Houthis Missile Attack On Riyadh Airport: Saudi Arabia
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia: Saudi Arabia on Sunday, October 11, said that at least 12 people were killed and over 300 injured in a missile attack on the King Khalid International airport in Riyadh. The kingdom claimed the attack, carried out by Yemen’s Houthis, suspended the operations in the airport.
According to Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA), the deceased include at least four Saudi citizens, two Bangladeshis, and one person each from the United States, Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Sudan and Egypt. At least 309 more people were wounded, and several of them are in critical condition, and were receiving medical care in hospital, the GACA said.

The missile attack has caused extensive damage to the building. Notably, the attack marks the third assault by the Houthis on the international airport this week. On Thursday, the Houthis attack on the King Khalid airport killed at least three Saudi citizens, including a pilot.
The Houthis attack comes as Saudi-led coalition force is fighting the Yemen’s militants, launching extensive attacks across their territories. Saudi-led coalition has labelled the Houthis attack a “full-fledged war crime”. adding that the coalition would respond decisively.
