Media reports from Gaza Strip suggests that “anyone who moves” in Rafah is being attacked by Israel. Amidst the global outrage against Tel Aviv for the heinous ‘massacre’ it carried out on May 26th, leaving behind charred, burned and dismembered civilians and bodies, Benjamin Netanyahu’s force continue to attack the southern city of Gaza.
Within 24 hours of the massacre that killed over 45 civilians, Israel launched another attack at al-Mawasi refugee camp that killed nearly 21 Palestinians. The attack came a day after the International Court of Justice has finally managed to ask Israel to halt all the operation in Rafah.
Israel carried out new air strike through-out yesterday night and in early hours of today morning, and has pushed huge tanks through the heavily populated areas of the city’s centre, which Israel called the “safe zone”. According to AFP news agency, journalists from Rafah reported that new airstrikes are being carried out. A resident from Rafah told Abdel Khatib told AFP that anyone who moves is being shot at by the Israeli drones.
The world is outraged at Israel for the brutal and barbaric war crimes it has been performing on the displaced and helpless Palestinians seeking safety in Rafah, and its blatant negligence of international law and order. Videos and images of Palestinians digging through the smouldering remains of the attack has shook the world to the core.
The May 26th ‘massacre’ and the attacks followed appeared to be the last string of patience in many, as several has joined the “All Eyes On Rafah” trend, which has been circulating since Israel declared to invade the border land months back.
Several celebrities, including celebrities from India, who has been deafeningly silent on Israel’s brutal war on Gaza has managed to at least join the trend that pledges solidarity with the Palestinians.
