On May 26, Israel went beyond the last thread of humanity by attacking Rafah which was designated to be a “safe zone”. Tel Aviv”s “precise attack” has burned, charred, and killed adults and children alike. Scenes from the site are horrifying as rescue workers found beheaded bodies of children, and bodies charred to ashes.

The Wafa news agency quoted the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) and said that many of those who were killed are “burned alive” inside their tents near UNRWA refuge camp. The death toll has reached nearly 40. Reportedly, it took 45 minutes to supress the fire. The bomb hit the area that Israel called “safe zone”. Israel continue to attack Rafah despite the International Court of Justice (ICJ) asked to halt all the operations in the border land.

Israel”s attack followed Hamas” rocket launch on Tel Aviv, which was the first after months of the former targeting the Palestinian civilians in the most brutal conduct of war. Tel Aviv said it struck Hamas compound in Rafah and the attack was carried out with “precise ammunition and on the basis of precise intelligence”.

It claimed that the attack has killed Hamas’s chief of staff for the West Bank and another senior official behind deadly attacks on Israelis. Benjamin Netanyahu”s force added that it was “aware” of reports that “several civilians in the area are harmed”.

The injured and dead were taken to the field hospitals and other available hospitals that are still working in the region. Most of the hospitals of Gaza were either turned to ruins by the Israeli occupation force or was forced to evacuate. Medical workers on field said that most of the wounded cases are beyond their power to tend to as they do not have enough facilities.

One of the residents who reached Kuwait Hospital in Rafah said “the air strikes burnt the tents, the tents are melting, and the people”s bodies are also melting”, as quoted by Reuters.

Canadian doctor, Yipeng Ge wrote that the situation is dystopian while hospitals in Gaza is beyond overwhelmed to take gravely injured patients, hospitals in Canada are “still seriously talking about how watermelons are considered offensive”.

Hamza Yousef, the former first minister of Scotland stress the question that “are you on the right side of the history?”.

The UN Special rapporteur on human rights in the Palestinian territory, Francesca Albanese, called for imposing sanction against Israel for its blatant defiance of international law and system.
