"If Your Will Is To Live In Peace....", IDF With New Offer To Palestinians
Israel Defense Force have offered an option for the civilians of Gaza if their “will is to live in peace and have a better future for their children”. Taking to X (formerly twitter), Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have shared the details about their “offer” in return for the accurate information on the location of Israeli hostages.
The IDF has also clarified about protecting the confidentiality of those who pass information about the hostages. The post read, “the Israeli military assures you that it will invest maximum effort in providing security for you and your home, and you will receive a financial reward, we guarantee you complete confidentiality”. The IDF has also shared the contact details of those who are willing to provide information.
Around 220 people are said to be under the captive of Hamas resistance group after the attack on October 7. The hostages include civilians and people with dual nationalities. Earlier on Friday, Hamas has released two hostages. The hostages were two women with Judith Raanan and her daughter Natalie, both with United States citizenship, says Al Jazeera.
On Monday another two women were released by Hamas. The hostages were two elderly women. According to Al Jazeera, the Hamas spokesperson Abu Obeida said through a statement that the release was due to “humanitarian reasons and poor health grounds”. The release was after the intervention of Qatar.
After the “unprecedented” attack unleashed by Hamas on Israel, the deputy chief of Hamas, Saleh al-Arouri has told Al Jazeera that, the resistance group have enough Israeli soldiers as captives to release all the Palestinians who are in Israeli prison. According to prisoner’s NGO, Addameer, nearly 5,200 Palestinians are held in Israeli jail among which 170 are minors and 33 women. The NGO also says that more than 1,200 are held under administrative detention.
In the name of targeting Hamas, Israel has been pouring deadly bombs on Gaza Strip and accused Hamas for finding shelter in the densely populated area of Gaza and for using civilians as human shields. Israel has humiliated the civilians of Gaza and showed highest form of disregard of humanitarian values by cutting of basic necessities like food, water, electricity and fuel to the Gaza Strip that has the population of 2.3 million.
So far over 5000 Palestinians have been murdered in the Israeli bombing with quarter of them accounting to children.
