Israeli Forces Kill Five Palestinians In Gaza Despite Ceasefire
Israeli forces in the Shujaiya neighborhood of Gaza City killed five Palestinians on Wednesday, despite a ceasefire already being in place. The Israeli army confirmed the killings, claiming that the individuals were approaching its soldiers when the Palestinians were targeted.
Al Jazeera has reported that an unspecified number of Palestinians were wounded by the Israeli forces in the Halawa area of Jabalia, quoting a source from the Gaza Emergency Services.

Al Jazeera’s Tareq Abu Azzoum, reporting from Deir el-Balah, Gaza, said the Israeli military confirmed its forces opened fire on several Palestinians who approached troops stationed along the redeployment line. The incidents occurred in Khan Younis and Gaza City’s Shujayea neighbourhood. Many Palestinians have used the temporary pause in fighting to return home and assess the damage, but the vast destruction across Gaza has left open areas exposed to Israeli ground forces. Gunfire continues to echo, as Israeli troops frequently shoot at any movement near their positions, especially in the enclave’s eastern regions.
Despite the Gaza peace plan having been agreed upon and the Israeli hostages having been released, and the Palestinian prisoners being released, the continuous incidents of killing of Palestinians by Israeli forces are coming to the forefront. It is argued that the Gaza permanent ceasefire was agreed upon under Donald Trump’s constant pressure on the Israeli regime.
