Right Wing Influencers Take Ahead Fake News Shared By Israel's Consul General In Mumbai
Indian journalist and Alt News Co-founder Muhammed Zubair has come with a new fact-check of the fake video propagated by the Indian right-wing influencers. The video, propagated on social media is said to be a footage of a Palestine girl who fakes injuries in the backdrop of another fake Gaza evacuation process. The clip got circulated amid the ongoing war which Israel declared against the Palestinians. As Mr Zubair states, the clip is actually from a Lebanese artistic tribute short film, which was shot in Lebanon dedicated to Palestinians getting killed by the Israel forces.

On the war, the Indian government under the incumbent Prime Minister Narendra Modi of right wing political party – BJP, had initially expressed their solidarity with Israel, extended all supports to Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu, and also condemned the October 7 unprecedented attack of Hamas on the Israel desert music camp. Later, various Indian government officials have repeated India’s stand in the conflict, that of the two-state solution. However, India faced backlash when it abstained from a UNGA resolution on humanitarian ceasefire initiated by Jordan.
The current video was also promoted by the right-wing affiliated persons including Indian film director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri. “Facts are not facts”, said Mr Agnihotri sharing the video which was posted earlier on X (formerly Twitter) by Kobbi Shoshani, the Consul General of Israel to India’s Mumbai. “Bollywood, you have fake competition in Gaza”, said Mr Shoshani on X.

Ofir Gendelman, the Israeli Prime Minister“s spokesperson to the Arab world, also took the video and posted on his social media handle. “The Palestinians are fooling the international media and public opinion. DON”T FALL FOR IT”, he said adding “See for yourselves how they fake injuries and evacuating “injured” civilians, all in front of the cameras. Pallywood gets busted again”.

Mohammed Zubair analysed the video and put the reality into light. According to him, the video is an amplified fake news by the Consul General of Israel to Mumbai. “This is a Lebanese artistic tribute Short film shot in Lebanon dedicated to Palestinians getting killed by Israel”, he said on X (formerly Twitter).
