"There Is No Ceasefire", Says Israeli Defence Force While Around 50,000 Palestinians Moved To South Gaza With Hands Raised

As the war between Israel and Hamas has passed 34 days, the situation seems to slip beyond the hope of recovering. The occupation force continue to bomb the refugee camps and hospital premises. The occupation force has been targeting Jabalia refugee camp and Jenin refugee camps. The latest bombing on Jenin refugee camp has destroyed several buildings and the at least seven have been killed in the bombing, said Palestinian Health Ministry.

Thousands of Palestinians are fleeing North Gaza to South. The south Gaza Strip is now “turning into a large concentration camp”, said Al Jazeera correspondent Hani Mahmoud from central Gaza. He said, “people are brought in and air strikes and bombardment then pound the areas”.

Israeli occupation has been announcing the “safer place” for the civilians of Gaza and then bombing the “safer place”. Several pictures from the besieged Gaza has shown thousands of Palestinians fleeing the north and moving towards the south through the “safer corridor”.

In past days, the occupation force has been giving limited number of brief windows for the Palestinians to move south. It is said that around 50,000 people took the alleged safe corridor on Wednesday, and around 15,000 the previous day.

UN report says that over 30,000 people had returned to their north after failing to find shelter in south due to the heavy air strikes from Israel.

The Israel Defence Force has once again made their stance clear that “there is no ceasefire”. Taking to their X (formerly twitter) page, the occupation force said that there are no ceasefire but “tactical, local pause for humanitarian aid for Gazan civilians” and declared that “our war is with Hamas and not with the people of Gaza”.

The occupation force also shared video of the “tactical humanitarian aid” of the Palestinians moving to the south. The video showed thousands of Palestinians moving with their arms raised up, including children, women and elderly.
