UAE Astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi returned to earth after completion of his six-month historic mission. Space X Dragon capsule splashed down into the Atlantic, off the coast of Jacksonville, Florida carrying Al Neyadi along with the other three fellow astronauts.
Al Neyadi is the first ever Arab astronaut to perform spacewalk and this was marked as the UAE’S second human space flight and the Arab world’s first extended mission.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai have said that Dr Al Neyadi’s acheievements have inspired millions of Arab youths.
UAE rulers have congratulated the Emarati astronaut on his successful return from the International Space Station(ISS).
UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan wrote on X: “The people of the UAE are immensely proud of you and the entire team for achieving major advances in space exploration. You carried the dreams of a nation to new frontiers, and we celebrate your pioneering journey and safe return.”

After the safe landing of the craft SpaceX, the engineers unbolted the hatches of aircraft and the astronauts were moved to gurney type transport.Crew-6 includes UAE”s Sultan Al Neyadi, two Nasa astronauts and a Russian cosmonaut.
Dr Neyadi had carried out more than 200 experiments including the ones assigned by Nasa and ones by the universities across the UAE. He documented majorly on Arab countries in the Middle East and North African regions.
The 42-year-old flight engineer has posted regular video updates in Arabic on social media about life in the space station and he spoke with people across UAE as part of the A Call from Space outreach initiative by the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre – the organisation that oversees the country’s astronaut programme.
The UAE has four members in its astronaut corps, which also includes Hazza Al Mansouri, the first Emirati in space, Nora Al Matrooshi and Mohammed Al Mulla.Nora Al Matrooshi is the Emarati first women to be selected as an astronaut and officials have announced previously that they are looking to send astronauts to space every two to three years.
