The Israeli occupation force has been targeting the civilians of Gaza from in every way possible. The death toll has reached 10,569 among which 4,324 were children, 2,823 women and 649 elderly people. The number of injured has raised to 26,475. In the last 24 hours alone, 214 people have been killed. Around 2,550 people went missing including 1,350 children, said the Palestinian Health Ministry spokesperson Dr Ashraf al-Qudra.
Along with some hospitals, bakeries in the north Gaza also stopped working due to the lack of fuel, water, and wheat flour, said United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
Items including wheat flour, egg and minerals has disappeared from shelves. The only available mill, for grinding wheat, that was fit for operating went still due to the lack of fuel and electricity. Report says, south Gaza also face the same challenge.
After another of Israeli occupation force’s notice asking civilians from the north Gaza to evacuate to the south by claiming it to be a “safer place”, around 15,000 Palestinians fled their place on Tuesday. Around 5000 Palestinians fled to south on Monday. Those who travel are mostly children, elderly people and people with disabilities. The supposed “safer place” and routes to the “safer place” has been bombed several times before.
Thousands of Palestinians still stay in north taking shelter in UN schools and hospitals. UN said out of 2.3 million population in Gaza, 1.5 million have been displaced, as reported by Al Jazeera.
Israel occupation force has been claiming the Al Shifa hospital to be the headquarters of Hamas resistance group. The hospital premises has been hit many times before, even destroying the only left water tank and solar panels.
Now the premises of al-Quds hospital been hit by the Israeli air strike. The Palestinian Red Cresent Society (PRCS) has published videos showing the extend of damages caused in the air strike. Several of the Red Cresent’s vehicles have been destroyed. The PRCS said that “all roads to the hospital are closed. Medical teams are unable to leave the hospital to reach the injured person”.The hospital is also going to run out of fuel.
Al Jazeera has quoted an associate professor at Qatar University, Mahjoob Zweiri as saying, “we talk about death in Gaza, whether slow death because of the starvation or the quick death because of the bombardments. There is nothing in Gaza but death, and it is really sad to see this happening”.
