
UAE To Witness Light Rainfall Today, Temperature To Drop Sharply
United Arab Emirates is expected to experience a significant weather change across different parts of the country on March 23 and March 24. The maximum and minimum temperatures in the capital, Abu Dhabi, are expected to be between 24°C and 34°C.
Similarly, Dubai is forecasted to have temperatures ranging between 25°C and 34°C. The weather is likely to be humid at night, and Monday morning may see fog or mist formation over some internal areas.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), “Cloudy skies with a probability of rainfall over the islands and some western areas, with a significant decrease in temperature westward.”
Moderate to fresh southeasterly winds, becoming northwesterly and strong at times over the sea, are expected to cause blowing dust inland. Wind speeds are likely to range between 15 km/h and 25 km/h, reaching up to 45 km/h.
According to the forecast, dusty weather conditions might persist until Wednesday, March 26. The UAE has been experiencing frequent weather shifts as the season transitions from winter to spring. Last Tuesday, dense fog blanketed parts of the country, affecting motorists during their early morning commute.
In an interview with Khaleej Times, Dr. Ahmed Habib, a meteorologist at the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), said, “As we transition from the end of the current weather season into spring, rapid weather changes are a defining characteristic. During March, April, and the first half of May, conditions frequently shift between stability and instability — fluctuating between hot, cold, windy, and dusty weather, as well as rain and fog.”

Last year, intense fog had hit the UAE, bringing the heaviest rainfall the country had ever recorded. Dubai alone received over 142 millimeters of rain in just 24 hours.
Experts stated that while the recurrence of a similar scenario is unlikely, the country is expected to witness light to moderate rainfall.
