Dubai Court Orders 4 Men To Pay Dh 400,000 In Compensation For Storming Home, Assaulting Occupants
A Dubai civil court recently ordered four men to pay Dh 400,000 in compensation to the victims of the home storming. The accused men allegedly broke the victim’s home and assaulted the occupant late at night after arming themselves with sharp tools and a canister of tear gas.
The court, while noting the gravity of the crime, pointed out that the accused went to the victim’s residence late at night after making preparations. The accused men were also ordered to pay an additional amount, including legal interest, court fees and expenses, Gulf News reported citing sources.

According to reports, the accused attacked the man inside his home, causing injuries that left him unable to attend to his personal affairs for more than 20 days, as per the medical report submitted before the court.
The court observed that the assault was accompanied by a serious breach of the sanctity of the home as they damaged property during the incident, including breaking iron gates and destroying surveillance cameras. The victim and his family were forced to leave the house and stay in the hotel until repair work was completed as a result.

The victim had filed a civil lawsuit seeking Dh4 million in damages for physical, material and moral harm, citing medical expenses, repair costs, temporary accommodation and the psychological impact of the attack on himself and his family.
While ruling, the court noted that civil liability is established when fault, damage and a causal link between them are proven.
