Hezbollah and Israel are at the cusp of a full-blown war. Now, Iran, sworn enemy of Israel, has warned that Israeli aggression on Lebanon would lead to an “obliterating war”. Taking to X, Iran’s mission to UN wrote Tehran has put all options, including the full involvement of all the Resistance front are on the table.

Iran said albeit Iran perceiving the Zionist regime of Israel’s propaganda of intending to attack Lebanon as a “psychological warfare”, should Israel is on for a full-scale war, an obliterating war will ensue.

Reportedly, US is preparing to evacuate citizens from Lebanon as Hezbollah, the Iran-backed militant group of Iran, and Israel rage violence against each other.

On Friday, Israel said that about 25 rockets were launched from Lebanon toward northern Israel, damaging a building and setting fires. In return, Israeli artillery bombed the sources of the rocket fire, said the military. It also said Israeli warplanes struck Hezbollah infrastructure in the area of Jabal Safi, north of the city of Nabatieh.

Notably, Israel’s air defence system failed to intercept three drones from Lebanon that flew into Tel Aviv’s airspace.

The cross-border firing came as Yoav Gallant, Israel’s defence minster told the troops that he still seeks a diplomatic agreement to calm the situation along the border but the military was prepared to fight.

“We are not looking for war but we are ready for it”, he said. He further added that if Hezbollah “chooses to go to war, we will know what to do”, as quoted by media.

According to Benny Gantz, Israel can destroy Hezbollah’s military within days. “We can bring Lebanon completely into dark, and take apart Hezbollah’s power in days”, said Gantz, as reported by Jerusalem post.

As per The Telegraph report, Iran has been supplying powerful rockets to Hezbollah through Beirut’s Al Hariri International Airport, and recent months saw a dramatic increase in using the airport for storing strong strategic weapons.

Hezbollah repeatedly warned Israel such a conflict would not only impact Israel more than it thinks, but that it would be felt regionally.

Analysts say that Hezbollah is backed with the so-called “axis of resistance”, which is a regional network of armed group backed by Iran.

Andrew Fox, a Middle East researcher said that though the IDF would have planned for a war, Israeli missile defence could be overwhelmed. He wrote, “Does the IDF have the personnel to sustain a long fight? They’re designed around quick actions, not attritional campaigns”.

Last week, Hezbollah’s Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah had said the group was rejecting offers from leaders of armed groups who were offering to send their foot soldiers to Lebanon. He said, “We told them: ‘Thank you, but we are overwhelmed by the numbers we have”. Nasrallah said Hezbollah already had more than 100,000 fighters.

Taking to social media, Qais al-Khazali, the leader of Asa’ib Ahl al Haq, an Iraqi member of the axis of resistance, wrote that, “If the United States of America continues to support this usurping entity and attacks Lebanon and attacks Hezbollah, America should know that it has made all its interests in the region and Iraq a target and a danger”, hinting that Iraq too is prepared for a retaliation.

Hezbollah, as the head of the axis has extended its influence into Syria, Iraq and Yemen, where it coordinates logistics, operations and training with like-minded groups.

Houthis, who has been only focusing on its war on the commercial ships having link to Israel will is also likely to be at the beck and call of Hezbollah. Foreign and local fighters in Syria that have backed President Bashar al-Assad in his war against the country’s opposition, analysts opine.

The current geo-political equation in the Middle East would entirely be toppled upside down if Israel and Hezbollah start a full-scale war, and it would be only a matter of time when West, who has been provoking the fragile atmosphere and has been playing around, be dragged into the bloodbath.

The so-called superpowers, who has been slaying in lies they concocted might not have the upper hand this time. As they have tested the patience of other countries in the Middle East enough, a strong retaliation is guaranteed. The Arab nations who turned paralyzed when it comes to taking strong action and strongest voice in supporting the Palestinians at the face of brutal and barbaric Israeli genocide will also face the music.
