“The sweetest human”, posted South African Actress Nomzamo Mbatha on Instagram after stealing the attention BTS fans through her incredible interaction with Jungkook. Nomzamo Mbatha was taking a pre-show interview of the BTS singer Jungkook at the 2023 Global Citizen Festival held at New York City.

The two emerged as the showstoppers prior to the stage performances.

The South Korean singer Jeon Jung-kook, known mononymously as Jungkook, is a member and vocalist of the world acclaimed Korean boy band BTS. He took the stage of 2023 Global Citizen Festival held in New York City’s Central Park to perform his solo debut single Seven along with other songs like Euphoria, Dynamite, and more.

In advance to the performance, Jungkook did a pre-show interview with South African actress and human rights activist Nomzamo Mbatha. Ms Mbatha is also an ambassador for the Global Citizen Festival.

The video that earned praise shows pre-interview moments in which Nomzamo Mbatha is seen comforting the BTS star who genuinely opened up about the inefficiency to articulate in fluent English.

“My English is bad”, said Jungkook being nervous about speaking in English for the interview. The actress replied, “my English is terrible” and made the singer laugh.

While waiting for the interview to begin, The South African actress shared that she feels comfortable speaking Zulu because that is her mother tongue in South Africa.

She assured Jungkook that the interview would go okay and everything would be fine. Both of them are seen taking deep breaths in a cool and funny manner to ease the situation and calm the nerves down.

As the behind-the-scenes of the interview got released on social media, it won the hearts of BTS fans across the globe and Nomzamo Mbatha got praised for her kind and virtuous attitude towards Jungkook. Fans also thanked the South African actress for making Jungkook feel comfortable and supporting him.
