Berlin: Hundreds of police officers of Germany searched around 15 properties allegedly linked to Hamas ‘supporters and sympathisers’. The raid was to the official ban on activity by or in support of Palestinian resistance group, said Euro News.

Most of the said raid took place in the German capital at 6 am local time on Thursday. More than 300 police raided 11 locations. It is said that seven of the searched locations are linked to Hamas and another four was linked to Samidoun – an organization that advocates for the Palestinian prisoners and is alleged to have ties with Popular Front for the Liberation, which was designated as terrorist organisation by US, UK and EU, like Hamas.

As part of “cracking down” the antisemitism propagating in the country aligning to the current Israel-Palestine war, the German police has raided 17 homes in the name of spreading hate speech and antisemitism.

The “official ban” came into effect on November 2nd. The same day, Samidoun was dissolved in Germany. German Interior Minister Nancy Feaser said that, “we are continuing our consistent action against radical Islamists…by banning Hamas and Samidoun in Germany, we have sent a clear signal that we will not tolerate any glorification or support of Hamas’ barbaric terror against Israel”, as quoted by Euro News.

As per the German authorities, Hamas have around 450 members in Germany and their activities are alleged to include, sympathise, propaganda activities, financing and fundraising for Hamas.
