The world’s largest cruise ship after Titanic, ‘icon of the sea’, is all set for its first voyage. It has been spotted in the Caribbean ahead of its highly anticipated inaugural voyage later this month, says CNN.

Reports suggest that the mammoth vessel is five time larger than the Titanic which left the Spanish port of Algeciras on December 23.

As the cruise shipped arrived, Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Royal Caribbean International wrote on a Facebook post, “Oh look who just arrived early this morning into the port in Ponce, Puerto Rico!”

The luxurious cruise is ready to welcome the public for its first commercial voyage on January 27. As per the schedule, the visitors will initially sail towards Miami and will spend seven nights onboard the icon sailing through the eastern or western Caribbean with ports of call including the Bahamas, Mexico, Honduras St. Maarten, and St. Thomas, reports USA Today.

The mammoth vessel stands tall at 365 meters and weighs an estimated 250,800 tones. The cruise ship can accommodate around 5,610 passengers and 2,530 crew members. The ship constructed at staggering cost of $2 billion consists of 20 decks, a food hall, and six pools.

The Royal Caribbean promises an unparallel experience with the world largest waterpark at sea. And that’s not it, along with the resort getaway, it also features a beach escape, a theme park and over “40 way to dine, drink and be entertained”. In total, the cruise ship contains seven pools, nine whirlpools, an aqua park for families, a swim-up bar, exclusive dining experience, arcades, live music, and shows.
