Justin Trudeau's Allegations On India Was On The Basis Of Intelligence Sharing Among Five Eyes.

As the diplomatic spar between India and Canada is still on the table, US has officially confirmed about the “shared intelligence among Five Eyes partners”, which led the Canadian Prime Minister”s serious allegation on India regarding the Indian officials’ hand in pro Khalisthan leader Hardeep Singh Najjar”s death. Najjar was murdered in June 2023.

David Cohen, US Ambassador to Canada told a Canadian news network that the shared intelligence among the Five Eyes partners is what made the Canadian Prime Minister to make statements against India. “This was a matter of shared intelligence information. There was a lot of communication between Canada and the US about this, and I think that”s as far as I am comfortable going”, Mr. Cohen said.

Mr. Cohen also added that, “If the allegations prove to be true, it is potentially a very serious breach of the rules-based international order in which we like to function”.

The Five Eyes intelligence include US, UK, Australia, New Zealand and Canada. Although the Five Eyes refused Canada”s bidding to jointly decry the murder, Five Eyes remarked the accusation to be serious.

Earlier, the Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told that officials are working close with intelligence agency to assure the country had “a solid grounding in the understanding of what was going on”. Mr. Trudeau also said that involvement of the foreign governments in the killing of the Canadian citizens in Canada is an unacceptable violation of the country”s sovereignty.

US , Australia and UK had conveyed their concern regarding Mr. Trudeau”s allegation on India.

The fallout between the two countries, India and Canada began with Mr. Trudeau”s “credible allegations” regarding the “potential link” between the murder of Khalistan leader Hardeep Singh Najjar and Indian government officials. As a result of the allegation, both countries had expelled senior diplomats from the countries.
