Lauren Boebert, Republican representative for Colorado”s 3rd congressional district, apologised for her disruptive behaviour during a weekend performance of “Beetlejuice” held at Buell Theatre in Denver on Friday. She stated that she “fell short of” her values.
Mrs.Boebert was accused of vaping, clicking pictures and causing disruption by being loud last weekend. Up until Friday, her Campaign denied her vaping. Taking to X (formerly twitter), she expressed about how “thoroughly” she enjoyed the show.
It's true, I did thoroughly enjoy the AMAZING Beetlejuice at the Buell Theatre and I plead guilty to laughing and singing too loud! 🤭
Everyone should go see it if you get the chance this week and please let me know how it ends! 😅https://t.co/8JHypcCKsP

But she apologised after a video of her actions were released. Earlier Mrs. Beobert denied vaping. She wrote , “whether it was the excitement of seeing a much anticipated production or the natural anxiety of being in a new environment, i genuinely could not recall vaping that evening when I discussed the night”s events with my campaign team while confirming my enthusiasm for the musical”.
After the video was released by 9News, which clearly shows Mrs. Boebert taking something from under her seat and taking it to mouth and releasing a cloud of smoke. The video also shows flashes coming from her phone while taking selfie and her raising hand up high while everyone else was calmly seated.
She apologised through a statement, as per report. The statement says that she is “truly sorry” for her actions.
According to report, the statement says, “The past few days have been difficult and humbling, and I am truly sorry for the unwanted attention my Sunday evening in Denver brought to the community”.
She blamed her “difficult divorce” – which she filed in April from her Husband Jayson Boebert – for her disruptive behaviour and that she simply fell short of her values. She said,” There is no perfect blueprint for going through a public and difficult divorce”. She further added that she tried to handle the situation with “strength and grace as best as I can, but I simply fell short of values on Sunday. That is unacceptable and I am sorry”.
However, this is not the first time Mrs. Boebert is apologising, in November 2021, she apologised for her anti-muslim remarks on Minnesota Democrat, Representative Ilhan Omer, who is a muslim. In July she issued an apology after she was seen throwing away tribute pin for one of the children killed during Uvalde School.
