'Smart Players, High IQ People': Trump Praise For Iran Amid Boasting Victories Sparks Debate
Washington DC, United States: US president Donald Trump on Tuesday, 17, called Iranian leadership ‘smart players‘ after continuous claims that the joint attack carried out by the US and Israel has dismantled the country’s air force, navy and military installations.
During a press conference, the president said he is dealing with very smart players. “These are smart people. They don’t get there otherwise,” Trump said, adding people know who you are dealing with. “High-level intellect. High, very high-IQ people,” the president said.

Many have sarcastically pointed out that the president Trump after boasting victory is now praising Iran. The president had requested countries including China to send warships to help US in opening Strait of Hormuz.
After several allied countries declined the request, the US president took a U-turn stating that the country does not need anyone. “we are the strongest country. I just ask for help to check their responses,” the president said.

Notably, Iran foreign minister Araghchi has rejected that the country requested for a ceasefire. When a reporter asked the Iranian leader why it is not asking for a ceasefire with the US, Araghchi said because they wanted to “teach them a lesson so hard that enemies never even think of attacking Iran again.”
