An investigative outlet has recently discovered a superyacht used by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The latest report from the Russian opposition group, the Dossier Center, revealed that the luxurious yacht is currently being repaired at a Turkish shipyard, which builds ships for the Turkish navy. The yacht, called the Victoria, is estimated to cost $50 million.
The Dossier Center, funded by exiled Russian opposition figure Mikhail Khodorkovsky, reported that the 71-meter-long Victoria has been docked at a shipyard in Turkey”s Istanbul since late October. Notably, Turkey is a NATO member. As per the report, Victoria was the ninth vessel discovered to be linked to Vladimir Putin. Construction of this vessel began at the Sevmash Naval Dockyard in 2005. Sevmash is the country”s biggest shipbuilding company, and moreover, it is Russia“s only producer of nuclear submarines. The construction of Victoria was completed in 2019.

Victoria, which was built in 14 years, is able to carry 28 people. According to the Dossier Center, the vessel is equipped with two master cabins. Several luxurious items are included in the Victoria. The report, citing sources, revealed that the yacht is officially registered with companies associated with a close friend of the Russian President. At the same time, the Dossier Center says that Victoria is linked to former Russian gymnast Alina Kabaeva. She is believed to be Putin”s longtime romantic partner. As per various reports, Putin and Kabaeva have been dating since 2008. In March, the Independent reported that 39-year-old Alina Kabaeva is believed to be the mother of at least three of Vladimir Putin’s young children.
