UK, Canada, Australia Recognize Palestine After 108 Years Of Balfour Declaration
The UK, Canada, and Australia have recognised Palestinian statehood 108 years after the Balfour Declaration. The decision comes as Israel continues to wage a war of destruction against Palestinians in Gaza. This makes a total of 150 countries with recognition of a Palestinian State out of 193 member countries of the United Nations.
Several other European countries are set to follow in the footsteps this week.
This marks a significant shift in the foreign policy of these countries, which is a step away from their alignment with the United States.
