In an amusing turn of events, a woman in UK discovered a potential World War II underground bomb shelter. The shelter was found in her backyard. The 34-year-old Rebecca Hobson came across the air raid shelter during the 2020 lockdown, due to Covid 19. The discovery came after she was briefed something tied to the war in the back of her Kent home in England, by the locals.

Hobson said despite being informed about the possible discovery, she was never moved by their requests to check it out. “When we moved into the house, we had no idea about the air raid shelter being in our garden”, said Hobson, as quoted by Metro.co.uk.

The mother of two, shared photos and videos of the remarkable discovery in the backyard of the house she lived for nearly 15 years. A clear-cut footage of the shelter was uploaded in TikTok by Hobson and her partner Darren. The video showed mid-sized tunnel with lights to navigate through the cave. The video shows the 160-foot passageway before findings of debris with rat traps, bottles, and bowls are found covered in dust.

The video went viral on the social media platform. When one of the user asked if the other end of the tunnel leads anywhere, the couple answered that it reaches at the bottom of the road, but the end has been sealed off, making their backyard the only possible way in and out.

Hobson is not the only one who made amusing discovery of their own house. A woman found basement which was turned into a nuclear bunker in her grandmother’s house. She said the previous owners might have installed it anticipating a nuclear war or a “zombie apocalypse”. The woman, whose name was Carly, showed video of the hidden site in TikTok. The video showed  pipe hanging from a ceiling, which activates a hidden wall door in a coat closet, as reported by New York Post.
