US announced new aid to Ukraine. US secretary of State Antony Blinken has announced new form of aid that ranges more than $1billion while speaking at Kyiv in a joint news conference with his Ukrainian counter part, Dmytro Kuleba.
Mr. Blinken said on X (formerly Twitter) that the meeting is to “reaffirm the United States” steadfast support Ukraine”s defence and future deterrence”.

As per the report, the new arrangement will include HIMARS missile launch system, Javelin anti – tank weapons and Abrams tanks. The Pentagon announced $175 million earlier on Wednesday which included depleted uranium ammunition which is highly effective in piercing armour plates.
The US aid aims beyond the arms assistance. It also aims to help “rebuild a free, resilient, thriving” country after the war.
The aid will also include assistance to clear out Russian land mines and war remnants to prevent further harm to the civilians.
The new package includes $300 million to help Ukrainian law enforcement, Mr. Blinken added on X.

Mr. Blinken met with Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, prior the joint news conference and ensured Unites State”s unwavering commitment to Ukraine and its people.

Mr. Zelensky thanked US for its aid and support. “We are happy that we are not alone through this winter, we will do it together with our partners”, he said to Mr. Blinken.
Hours into Mr. Blinken”s visit, Russia strike Kostyantynivka, a city in eastern Ukraine. The strike is reported to kill at least 17 people and wounded dozens.
“This Russian evil must be defeated as soon as possible”.
Russia denied the deliberate targeting of civilians. The European Union addressed the attack as “heinous and barbaric”.
