Keir Starmer is all poised to take up the Prime Minister spot of UK, after his Labour party clinched a landslide victory in the general election. The spotlight is now on the Starmer family, especially, the soon-to-be First Lady, Victoria Starmer.

Unlike wives of other Prime Ministers, Victoria always stayed away from limelight. She kept a hard grip on her privacy. It was only recently the public has got to see her for a fair few times. A friend from the Starmer family’s inner circle told Grazia that, “She’s extremely supportive of Keir behind the scenes and fiercely proud of him. She’s the person whose opinion he trusts the most – she’s very smart. She’s lovely, really fun, but she’s also very protective of her family’s privacy”.

Born into a Polish-Jewish family that migrated to the UK before the Second World War, Victoria is a practising Jew.

Earlier a solicitor, Victoria is an occupational health therapist. And even after being the First Lady of Britain, she will continue to do her job, which she loves the most. During an interview with The Times, Keir said, “She’s absolutely going to carry on working, she wants to and she loves it. It’s also good for me because it gives me an insight into the NHS”.

People who know Victoria say that she is very down to earth, funny and extremely protective of her personal life. In his interview with Grazia, Keir said, “She is very grounded, is Vic. She’s sassy. She’s gorgeous, but she’s absolutely rooted”.

Keir and Victoria met when were working as lawyers. While Keir was practising as a barrister at Doughty Street chambers, Victoria was asked to draw up documents for a case he was working on. The Labour leader recalled his meeting with her, when her over heard her saying “who the f*** does he think he is?”.

The pair got married in 2007, and have two children. a 15-year-old boy, and 13-year-old girls. They were not seen publicly, and no pictures of them were published outside.
