World Leaders Congratulate Donald Trump On His Return To White House As 47th President

World leaders have started reacting to the US presidential election result as Republican candidate Donald Trump has secured his second term in White House. The return of the former president to the office has invited a stream of reactions by leaders from across the world.

Reacting to Trump’s Triumph, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who had an apparently warm relationship with the former US president during his term back then, congratulated on “historic election victory” calling the president elect a “friend.”

“Heartiest congratulations my friend @realDonaldTrump on your historic election victory. As you build on the successes of your previous term, I look forward to renewing our collaboration to further strengthen the India-US Comprehensive Global and Strategic Partnership. Together, let’s work for the betterment of our people and to promote global peace, stability and prosperity,” Prime Minister Modi wrote on X.

 

While congratulating the US president-elect, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the “historic return” of Donald Trump to the white House as an offer of “a new beginning for America and a powerful recommitment to the great alliance between Israel and America.” Countries across the world are keen to know how the change in power dynamics in the US, which has been a strong supporter and military supplier to the Israel in its genocidal aggression in Gaza and now in Lebanon, would impact the regional development in West Asia.

“Dear Donald and Melania Trump, Congratulations on history’s greatest comeback! Your historic return to the White House offers a new beginning for America and a powerful recommitment to the great alliance between Israel and America. This is a huge victory! In true friendship, yours, Benjamin and Sara Netanyahu,” Israel Prime Minister Wrote on X.

 

United Kingdom prime minster Keir Starmer issued a statement, congratulating the US president-elect. “As the closest allies, we stand shoulder to shoulder in defense of our shared values of freedom, democracy and enterprises,” the British Prime Minister said.
