Kerala Literature Festival Begins Today At Kozhikode Beach; Over 400 Speakers, 250 Sessions To Be Held
Kozhikode, Kerala: Considered Asia’s largest literary festival, the Kerala Literature Festival (KLF) ninth edition began today, January 22 at the Kozhikode beachfront in Kerala. Kickstarting secessions, which is known for its rich attendances, over 400 divorced literary voices are going to reverberate in Kozhikode shore, which is India’s first UNESCO City of Literature.
The latest edition, which is held from 22 to 25, will feature over 400 speakers across 250 sessions on seven parallel tracks, alongside musical and cultural performances. The fest would host noted Nobel laureates, Booker Prize winners, historians, scientists, artists, filmmakers, and activists, and some of them include Abdulrazak Gurnah, Olga Tokarczuk, Abhijit Banerjee, Indra Nooyi, Peggy Mohan, Shobhaa De, Amish Tripathi, Piyush Mishra, Arvind Subramanian, and Olympian Ben Johnson.

Chief facilitator of the festival, Ravi Deecee, says the KLF has become a meeting point for creative and courageous minds worldwide, adding that the program will deepen the exchange of ideas and celebrate cultural diversity.
The sessions would include literature with live arts, featuring fusion nights, concerts, theatre, and traditional performances, and all of the is expected to turn the coastal city into a vibrant hub of ideas and cultural as did in the past events.
