Alpina B8 GT: Everything You Need To Know

The Alpina B8 GT, based on the BMW 8 Series Gran Coupe, stands as the most powerful vehicle ever produced by Alpina. With a reworked 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, the car delivers an impressive 634 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque. This allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 330 km/h, seamlessly blending high performance with luxury.

Limited to just 99 units, the B8 GT boasts an array of bespoke features. Its carbon fibre bodywork is complemented by forged 21-inch alloy wheels and custom Pirelli P Zero tyres. Inside, the cabin exudes opulence, featuring leather upholstery, wood accents, and a metal cupholder insert bearing the autograph of Alpina’s founder, Burkard Bovensiepen, who passed away in October 2023 at the age of 87.

Of the 99 units, 20 will feature a striking dual-tone paint finish, pairing black with either blue or green. The design is enhanced by a prominent rear diffuser and distinctive Alpina badging, further emphasising its exclusivity. Despite its performance focus, Alpina has ensured that the B8 GT maintains the craftsmanship and attention to detail that have defined the brand for decades.

The engine’s performance figures highlight Alpina’s engineering prowess. The 4.4-litre V8 produces its peak power between 5,500 and 6,500 rpm, with maximum torque available from 3,500 to 5,000 rpm. Notably, it takes just 10.5 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 200 km/h, underscoring its capability as a high-performance grand tourer.
