Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e Test Drives Begin, SUVs To Hit The Indian Market Soon

The BE 6 and XEV 9e, Mahindra‘s first Electric Origin SUVs, were constructed on the INGLO platform and came with 59 kWh and 79 kWh battery versions. Delivery of the 79 kWh models will commence in March, and official reservations will open on February 14. On January 14, test drives started in Tier 1 cities; on January 24, they moved on to Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. On February 7, the second stage will begin, increasing Mahindra’s EV footprint throughout India.

The BE 6 (formerly known as BE 6e) and XEV 9e, Mahindra’s first two Electric Origin SUVs, were introduced precisely two months ago. Both SUVs, which are supported by the INGLO architecture, come with two different battery pack options: a 59 kWh Pack 2 or a 79 kWh Pack 3.

For the 79 kWh models, official reservations for BE 6 and XEV 9e will open on February 14. When deliveries for the Pack 3 models start in early March, the Chakan-based company will reveal prices for the full portfolio of both coupe electric SUVs. Prices for the two BE 6 and XEV 9e models that Mahindra has so far revealed are shown below.

Phased test drives for BE 6 and XEV 9e started earlier this month. On January 14, the first phase got underway in Tier 1 centers, which included Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Delhi NCP. Phase 2 of the test drives has now started in the following cities, starting on January 24.

The two Mahindra Born Electric SUVs will be on display at more Tier 2 and Tier 3 centers during the next round of test drives, which is scheduled to start on February 7. A major advancement in Mahindra’s electric journey is represented by the BE 6 and XEV 9e, which provide cutting-edge capabilities on the INGLO platform.

With reservations opening on February 14 and delivery commencing in March, these SUVs are expected to have a significant influence. A larger reach across cities is ensured by the gradual test drive deployment, creating anticipation before the official pricing release. As Mahindra broadens its range of electric vehicles, the BE 6 and XEV 9e provide performance, innovation, and a strong emphasis on sustainable transportation.
